How Can I Benefit from Reiki?  

A Reiki treatment supports the whole person—physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.  It is simple to learn, and can be used at any time or place to enhance your health and emotional well-being.

784260_83615646 reiki baby.jpgWhen a Reiki practitioner places his/her hands on an area of your clothed body, Reiki flows through the practitioner to you.  This transfer is felt with sensations of heat, cold, vibration, or unusual heaviness.  Reiki goes where it is needed—promoting relaxation, balance and harmony by releasing blocked energies and cleansing your body of toxins during the healing process.

On the physical level, Reiki can bring relaxation to stressed muscles, decrease pain and accelerate the healing time of bones, wounds, burns and bruises.  This state of relaxation also augments the abilities of the immune system to defend against bacteria and viruses, and it stimulates the brains production of endorphins (natural opiates) that act to decrease pain.

On a mental and emotional level, anxiety is reduced, a sense of well-being is increased and a state of meditative relaxation is felt.  At this degree of deep relaxation, a rebalancing of energy within the cells occurs and the natural healing ability of the body is enhanced.

On a spiritual level, many feel enlightened and peaceful after a full body session.  Reiki’s effectiveness does not depend on the feelings or beliefs of either the practitioner or the recipient— which is fortunate, given that beliefs and feelings are often what limit, block or challenge a healing process.
